Over 15,000 apply for 440 YEIDA residential plots
GREATER NOIDA: Amid Covid-19, the response to Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority’s (YEIDA) residential plot scheme was good. As against 440 plots ranging between 60 sqm and 4,000 sqm on offer across sectors 17, 18, 20 and 22D, total applicants were 15,624.
YEIDA allotted 422 plots out of the 440, where a maximum of 117 allotments were given to plot size of 120 sqm, followed by 75 allotments for 1,000 sqm plots. There were also three allotments for 2,000 sqm plots and six allotments for 4,000 sqm plots.
The circle rates at which the scheme was launched include Rs 17,800 for plots up to 200 sqm and Rs 17,400 for plots beyond 200 sqm, officials said. Further, each plot size had reserved lots for three categories — farmers, differently abled and the general public.
Shailendra Bhatia OSD to YEIDA, said, “Just like our industrial plot scheme allotments held last month which got a 10 times response, the draw of lots of our residential plot scheme held on Wednesday had a great response. We got a total of 15,624 applications for the 440 plots that were offered across sectors 17, 18, 20 and 22D. Allotment was given to 422 applicants.”
“This shows that there’s tremendous interest in the Yamuna Expressway region for residential development as people expect better living conditions with the upcoming Jewar airport and industry response to the region,” he added.
Keeping Covid appropriate behaviour of social distancing, the draw of lots was held at the community centre in Sector Pi 3, amid videography where only 2% of the applicants were allowed to physically participate. The remaining applicants watched the process online.
