Noida: Flats in parking area unsealed, cars take up Antriksh Golf View 1 society driveway
NOIDA: The Noida Authority, last year, sealed 11 of the 78 flats built illegally in the stilt parking area of
the Antriksh Golf View 1 society, but the builder unsealed two of them a few months ago, alleged
residents.
Additionally, the builder has been selling parking slots to residents where it had proposed a driveway and
green space. The flats in the stilt parking area are now mostly occupied.
“The builder has sold nearly 200 parking spaces on the proposed driveway and green area. While we have
complained about this multiple times to the Noida Authority, there has been no action against the builder
yet. The builder has cheated all of us with his promises,” said Nav Ratan Gautam, a resident.
On May 18, 2022, the Noida Authority sealed 11 illegal flats, but some families approached the high court
and got a stay order on such action. “The Noida Authority had sealed 11 flats, and the builder has now
unsealed two. Is that not a criminal offence? The builder can also sell those flats now, and the Authority
will have to step back when it sees families living there,” said Gautam.
Sapna Mishra, another resident, said residents approached the Authority in 2017 when the developer
started construction in the stilt parking area. The Authority then issued a notice to the builder to stop the
construction. After a pause, the builder started construction, again prompting residents to lodge
complaints.
“Since the illegal construction began, we have been continuously lodging complaints. Since the matter is
sub judice in court, the Authority can’t take action on it. But what about our parking facilities? It is
inappropriate to park on the driveway, which we will need during emergencies,” said Mishra.
A senior official from the Noida Authority said there would be an inspection at the society in response to
the allegations about the unsealed flats, and necessary action will follow.
Despite repeated attempts, there was no response from the builder.
