No Gurugram civic body nod, five residential buildings razed in Silokhera
GURUGRAM: The enforcement team of MCG carried out a demolition drive in Silokhera on Thursday and razed around five unauthorised residential buildings which were built without seeking any building plan approval.
A team of MCG officials — RK Mongia, Sandeep Hooda, and Naveen Bedi — carried out the drive at Vijay Vihar in Silokhera.
“The enforcement team learnt that some houses were constructed without taking approval from MCG. Approval is mandatory to carry out any construction within the limits of the MCG area. There are clear directions from the commissioner to take strict action against the unauthorised construction,” said SS Rohilla, MCG spokesperson.
To get a building plan approval, applicants can apply on the Haryana Online Building Plan Approval System.
The MCG officials said that an applicant gets a provisional certificate within 24 hours, after which the construction can start.
The MCG’s planning wing has also set up a help desk to assist the applicants to get building plan sanctions in a time-bound manner.
The enforcement teams have been carrying out demolition drives in their respective zones. Buildings without approval are demolished as and when the team gets information, a majority of which are under construction.
The civic body had recently demolished illegal structures in Bajghera and Rajendra Park. Five boundary walls and six under construction buildings were demolished.
The enforcement teams also keep a check on illegal construction within the 900 metre restricted area around the IAF ammunition depot, where such drives are regularly conducted.
