Merge old & new property IDs by January 8: ULB to Gurugram civic body

GURUGRAM: The department of urban local bodies (ULB) has expressed displeasure over the
progress in data integration and disposal of objections related to the property tax data by the
municipal corporations of Gurugram, Manesar and Faridabad.
ULB chief town planner KK Varshney, who was in the city on Thursday, directed senior officials
of MCG, MCM and MCF to resolve the objections on the property tax survey the same day they
are filed.
Varshney directed that data integration of the old and new property IDs be done by January 8,
since chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar will review the status of the work on January 10.
The ULB department, in a review, also found that the property tax survey of MCG’s recently
extended limits has still not been carried out.
“After detailed deliberation and checks of the progress of all districts and respective ULBs, the
ULB minister has shown his displeasure over the progress of data integration and disposal of
objections as the progress is not up to the mark. It is submitted that the progress of major ULBs
like the municipal corporations of Gurugram, Faridabad and Manesar is slow. Moreover, the
property tax survey of the properties falling within the extended limits of MC Gurugram and
Faridabad is still pending,” read a letter issued by the ULB department to MCG, MCM and MCF
on Wednesday.
