Manesar civic body gets records of 26 villages, starts transfer of funds
GURUGRAM: The Municipal Corporation of Manesar (MCM) has received records of 26 out of 29 villages under the civic body, officials said. As the records are being compiled, MCM has also started transfer of funds from these panchayats to the corporation’s account.
However, Shikohpur, which is one of the richest villages under the newly formed corporation, Manesar and Bar-Gujjar have not yet submitted their records.
“We’ve received records of 26 villages under MCM and will receive the records of remaining three more villages in the next few days,” said Pradeep Ahlawat, joint commissioner-IV of MCG, who has also been made the nodal officer to collect these records.
“For MCG, the record of only one out of 16 villages is left. Bhondsi sarpanch has also promised us to hand over their records in the next two days. After the collection is complete, the entire record of these villages will be compiled and handed over to the departments concerned.”

The village documents include land records, fixed deposits, proceeding books of meetings, account books, list of all court cases, property register, lease register and list of employees.
Moreover, MCM officials said the process of transfer of funds from village panchayats to the corporation has also started. “We’ve started the process of transferring funds to these village panchayats. As we’re receiving the records from these villages, we’re simultaneously sharing details of fixed deposits and bank account details with the accounts department so that the transfer of funds happens. These funds will be utilised for the infrastructure development of these villages,” said an MCG official.
