Indiabulls Real Estate appoints KG Krishnamurthy as independent director

NEW DELHI: Indiabulls Real Estate has appointed Kulumani Gopalratnam Krishnamurt as an independent director, not liable to retire by rotation, on the board of the company, for an initial term of three years
with effect from November 9, 2021, it said in the BSE filing.

Krishnamurthy, who is former managing director & CEO of HDFC Property Ventur will be designated as non-executive chairman of the company with effect from Feb 1, 2022.

He is also on the board of Booker India, JM Financial Credit Solutions, Ajmera Realty & Infra India, Vascon Engineers, MMK Toll Road and Shriram Properties and Puravankara.

With over three decades of experience, Krishnamurthy had advised international and domestic real estate funds. Prior to launch of HDFC’s venture capital fund, he was head of property services at HDFC.
He has also offered his services to the Asian Development Bank – to develop a housing package for project affected persons under Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Project and to the USAID to build-up
a mortgage market in Sri Lanka.
