HSVP team razes 15 houses in Gurugram’s sector 23A
GURUGRAM: The HSVP on Friday demolished around 15 houses to clear nearly 800 square yard of land in Sector 23A. Four residential plots and one park was planned on this land with a market value running into several crores.
The land was acquired by HSVP around three decades ago and over the years Sector 23A was developed on it. The people who had constructed houses on this land challenged the acquisition and court granted them stay. Now after several decades of litigation, the court gave its order in favour of HSVP.
Following the order, the enforcement team of HSVP led by junior engineers Sandeep Lot, Lalit Hans and Anand Prakash carried out the demolition drive and razed around 15 houses. Some house owners were given time to vacate the property. Lot said that HSVP can now auction the residential plots to generate several crores.
The team also cleared encroachments from Sector 23 market and Jail Land Shopping complex. Two SCO (shop-cum-office) surrendered by the original allottee were encroached upon by some person and they had constructed a shop on the land. Apart from this, shopkeepers had encroached on the corridor and parking area in front of their shops.
Similarly, multiple shops and structures were demolished in Sector 23 market where shopkeepers and venders had encroached upon the corridor and open area, said Lot.
HSVP also sealed an under-construction community hall in Sector 9. The community centre was being constructed on HSVP land. According to the sources, the community centre was being constructed by the MCG without verifying the ownership of the land. However, the officials of MCG and HSVP said they are trying to find out who was carrying the construction.
