HSVP allottees can apply for valid occupancy certificate before December 31
The Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) has asked allottees, who have still not obtained a valid occupancy certificate (OC) for their plots, to apply for the same before December 31, according to an order issued by the authority on Monday.
“The final decision on the occupancy certificate will be taken by the zonal adminstrator. This one-time relief policy will help people who have not obtained it, get an occupancy certificate,” the senior official said.
All kinds of property owners such as residential, commercial and institutional can apply for the occupancy certificate under this scheme.
HSVP officials said there are at least 1,000 plot owners in the city who have not obtained an OC but occupied their units without a valid certificate. Without an OC, the property can’t be transferred to another owner and the extension fee is levied continuously, said officials.
According to a senior HSVP official, the allottees will have to submit an application along with relevant documents, which can help in determining the date of construction of their property. These documents could include electricity bill, water bill and sewage bill, he said.
“The allottees will have to pay ₹25,000 fees for residential plots, ₹50,000 for commercial plots and ₹1 lakh for institutional and group housing plots. The compounding for violating will be charged at old rates of colonisation for houses constructed till 11.9.1987. For houses built after this date, the compounding fees for violations will be charged as per the prevalent policy,” the HSVP order said.
The allottees, according to the order, will have to submit applications online with documentary proof and prescribed fees. The applications will be checked by estate officers of the authority and a committee will examine the building for violations, and it shall submit a report to the estate officer.
