Housing ministry blacklists two firms engaged in construction of NBCC Green View in Gurugram

NEW DELHI: The Union housing and urban affairs ministry has blacklisted two firms, which were engaged in the construction of the ill-fated NBCC Green View project in Gurgaon, debarring them from getting any work from the ministry for two years for sub-standard work. These entities – Supreme Infrastructure India Ltd and Ramacivil Construction Pvt Ltd – have also been
banned from getting any work from any attached entity, autonomous bodies and Central Public Sector Enterprises of the ministry.
The NBCC Green View building in Sector-37D was declared unsafe by IIT, Delhi and the residents were asked to vacate the flats. The National Buildings Construction Corporation had informed the housing ministry that the two
companies had used “sub-standard quality of work, resulting in poor quality building and causing trouble for homebuyers”. The ministry had subsequently issued show cause notices seeking explanation why the companies should not be debarred from business dealings from the ministry.
After getting the response from these firms and examination of the NBCC’s submissions and report of the expert committee, the ministry passed the order to blacklist the companies till March 29, 2025.
