Gurugram: No flats six years on, buyers demand action against Ocean Seven Buildtech
GURUGRAM: A group of homebuyers of Expressway Towers in Sector 109 met the senior town
planner on Monday and demanded action against the developer for the delay in completion of
the housing project.
The affordable housing project was launched in 2017 by Ocean Seven Buildtech Pvt Limited
(OSB) and the buyers were promised possession in 2021. The deadline was extended to 2023
in view of the pandemic.
However, the allottees told senior town planner Sanjeev Mann that “currently, there is no work
going on at the site and there’s a dim possibility of the project getting completed within the
deadline”.
The DTCP has called the developer for a meeting with the homebuyers on Tuesday and warned
of strict action against the realtor as per the law for the delay in delivery of the project.
Ajay Kumar, one of the homebuyers, said “We are afraid that the developer may abscond and
abandon the project after duping 1,089 buyers. The builder has collected 100% of the flat cost
from us and has stopped construction work three years ago. We request the DTCP, H-Rera, the
chief minister’s office, and police to intervene.”
The developer could not be contacted despite repeated attempt by TOI.
