Gurugram: Mayfield Garden RWA served notice over construction of shops at dispensary site
GURUGRAM: The department of town and country planning (DTCP) has issued a restoration order to
the RWA of Mayfield Garden License Colony for illegally constructing commercial structures at a
dispensary site.
Earlier, a show-cause notice was served to it by the district town planner (enforcement) in January 2023,
but the RWA has not replied so far. According to the order, if the illegal structures are not removed in
seven days, those will be demolished.
Mayfield Garden RWA, according to the enforcement wing of DTCP, has constructed shops and rooms at
the dispensary’s site in N block, which is in violation of Haryana Urban Development Act rules. RWA has
illegally set up salons, property dealers’ offices, medical equipment shops and stores providing beds to
patients, said an official, adding that the action came after the department received a complaint on violations.
When officials inspected the site, they found the complaint to be true. Earlier, even though a show-cause
notice was issued to the RWA in January with directions to file its reply within seven days, it did not
furnish a satisfactory reply.
Manish Yadav, district town planner (enforcement), said, “We have ordered Mayfield Garden RWA to
restore the site. A show-cause notice was sent earlier but RWA had not replied to it. Now, seven days have
been given for restoration. If the structures are not removed, those will be demolished by the department.”
Meanwhile, DTCP also issued notices to traders for running illegal commercial activities and carrying out
unauthorised construction in violation of norms in DLF 2 and 3. The department has warned them of carrying out sealing drives if satisfactory replies are not submitted.
