Gurugram: Illegal colonies on Golf Course road extension under lens
GURUGRAM: The department of town and country planning (DTCP) on Tuesday surveyed various residential townships in Sector 67 on Golf Course Extension Road. This came after several complaints were raised regarding the violations of building norms and the NGT guidelines.
During the survey, the enforcement team of DTCP spotted various violations in the builder floors being constructed in Ansal Esencia and Versalia.
The department has now directed the property owners to submit the building plans with the enforcement office within two days, failing which action will be initiated against them.
Assistant town planner (enforcement) Ashish Sharma said that builder floors with four storeys and stilts are being constructed in around 250 plots by the private builders in the two colonies.
During the survey, district town planner RS Batth observed that the NGT norms were being violated in all the buildings as the construction material was lying open and structures were not covered either.
The builders were yet to procure occupation certificates. “We will soon serve notices to them for flouting NGT guidelines. They have been directed to submit the building plans with the department,” said Batth. He added that the builders have been directed to get rid of the issues within a week, failing which a demolition drive will be carried out.
Meanwhile, the department also conducted surveys in ten colonies in Sohna and Bhondsi to check illegal construction. According to department, enforcement team had demolished buildings in these colonies in the past two months, but the developers have restarted construction.
Batth said there are strict directions from the senior officials to conduct regular checks to stop the redevelopment of illegal colonies in these areas. “As per the directions, the enforcement will demolish all such structures that have again come up in these colonies within 10 days,” he said.
