Gurugram: Developers of Malibu Towne booked for flouting rules
GURUGRAM: The developers and directors of Malibu Towne, a residential project on Sohna road, have been booked for multiple violations of existing norms related to the development of a private colony, including layout plans, illegal constructions and encroachments.
An FIR was registered at Sadar police station on the complaint of the district town planner (DTP) after an “unsatisfactory reply” from the developer regarding the violations.

Batth said there were multiple complex issues in the projects and these were forwarded to the director of DTCP after verifying them through site visits. “The residents had also filed complaints on various platforms, including Lokayukta,” he said.
Batth said the developer was issued a licence for setting up of a residential plotted colony under Section 3 of the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act, 1975.

The developer could not be reached for his comment on the issue.
Earlier in December, Lokayukta had directed to form a special investigation team (SIT) to investigate the roles of all director generals of town and country planning department since 1992, for allegedly overlooking the rules and regulation related to the development of Malibu Towne.
