Gurugram civic body examines information on 86,000 more properties
GURUGRAM: The MCG has verified and collected data of 86,000 properties under the
jurisdiction of the civic body.
The data of over 1.5 lakh properties could not be collected as 92,065 were vacant plots and
60,730 owners denied to share information with surveyors.
“We have collected data of 86,000 properties and now the same will be uploaded on the NDC
portal,” said a senior MCG official.
In 2022, a private agency was given the contract of the survey and collect property tax data, but
they couldn’t get the data of around 1.9 lakh properties. Around 5.17 lakh properties fall under
the ambit of the MCG.
The residents subsequently raised the issue that new property IDs generated on the basis of
this survey were faulty. The names and addresses of the properties collected by the agency
were incorrect in several cases.
The department of urban local bodies (ULB) had also expressed displeasure over the work of
property data corrections.
The decision was taken after chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar had reviewed the status of the
surveyed properties and directed their re-verification.
MCG officials said they are organising camps to correct data of the property tax.
