DTCP bans property sale, purchase at a society in Sector 90, Gurugram
GURUGRAM: The department of town and country planning (DTCP) has banned the purchase
and sale of properties in a group housing society spread across 11 acres in Sector 90 over
violation of licence norms. The department has also issued directions to the tehsildar concerned
to not execute any sale deeds in this society.
District town planner (enforcement) Amit Madholia said that action was taken against the
developer as it had entered into an agreement with land owners for providing 35% of saleable
area to them but later made pacts with other developers without permission.
On the basis of a complaint, the department carried out a probe and found that the developer
did not take the mandatory permission from the authority before entering into agreements with
other developers and creating third party rights.
“The DTCP has ordered the freezing of the inventory of the colony and written to the revenue
department to stop the registry of sale deeds and make ‘a red entry’ into the records,” Madholia
said.
In August too, the DTCP banned the purchase and sale of properties in 18 residential societies
in Gurgaon over violations of licence norms and non-payment of dues, including external
development charges (EDC).
Similarly in August, the DTCP issued directions to the revenue department to halt all sale deed
registrations in Sushant Lok 2 as the developer, Ansal Buildwell, had failed to renew the project
licence even years after it expired.
