Draw of lots for over 110 flats in Greater Noida
GREATER NOIDA: The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) will conduct a draw of lots on March 22 and 23 to select homebuyers to move into the 113 ready to move in flats that are located in Sector XU 1, 2 and 3. These flats are of two different sizes – 120 and 200 square metres.
Officials from the authority said that the first draw will be among applicants who have opted for lump sum payment. After that, there will be a draw among the applicants opting for payment in instalments. The draw for these flats had been pending for several months now.
GNIDA had launched the plan for selecting homebuyers for 113 constructed flats of 120-200 square meters in the three Greater Noida sectors in November last year. Sector XU 1 has 12 buildings of 200 square metres, while XU 2 has 15 buildings of 120 square meters. There are 86 plots of 120 square meters in XU 3.
On March 22, the draw for the flats in Sector XU 1 and 2 will be conducted, while the draw for the flats in Sector XU 3 will take place on March 23. The draw on both days will begin at 11am and it will be done manually at the auditorium of Greater Noida Authority. Students of two schools in the age group of 12 to 14 years will draw the slip, even as video recording would be done to ensure that the process is transparent.
RK Dev, general manager of GNIDA, said the list of applicants would be uploaded on the authority’s website by March 21. All these flats are already constructed.
Speaking about the manner of the draw of lots, Dev said that all the applicants’ slips would initially be put in a drum. After that, the first slip would be picked from it and it would be checked which flat the applicant has selected.
If the flat selected by the applicant is vacant, then it would be allotted to the person. If the flat is already occupied then a second option would be given to the applicant to choose from, and so on. The authority has also appealed to all the applicants to participate in the draw.
