Developers want Noida authority to clarify the status of Sports Cities
NEW DELHI: Real estate developers have sought further clarification from the Noida authority after it put a restriction on buying and selling of plots in five Sports cities in Noida.
The developers have said that each plot has details of facilities to be developed and authority must see that before issuing the completion certificate.
“Every Sports city has different terms and conditions and every plot that has been allotted to a developer has specifications of facilities to be developed. The initial order has created a bit of panic but the committee formed by Noida authority should clarify the matter,” said Dinesh Gupta, CMD, Samridhi group, which has two projects in sports city.
The Noida authority had clarified that the ban was on the sale of large plots and not on flats as some of the developers haven’t developed the sports facilities, as proposed at the time of taking approval.
Sector 78, 79, 101, 150 and 152 has been earmarked as Sports cities by the Noida authority.
The authority had allotted about 800-acre land to different groups who sub-leased the plots to developers.
The developers now say that the responsibility to develop sports facilities lies on the original allottee.
“Developers will develop the facility it has promised and the committee must ensure that everything is as per the sanctioned plan,” said Getamber Anand, CMD of ATS Group.
Close to 70 projects are being developed at these Sport cities having over 40,000 flats.
