Delhi’s GPRA colonies project to stretch to 2025-end
NEW DELHI: The central government’s ambitious project to redevelop the seven GPRA
colonies in Delhi will stretch up to 2025 end.
The housing and urban affairs ministry has informed the Lok Sabha that so far residential
projects at Mohammadpur and Thyagraj Nagar have been completed.
It said while the redevelopment of Nauroji Nagar is scheduled for completion by June 2023, the
remaining three projects would be completed in 2025.
The details provided by the ministry mention that Kasturba Nagar and Sriniwaspuri projects are
scheduled for completion in March 2025 and Sarojini Nagar redevelopment project is likely to be
completed in December 2025.Under this GPRA redevelopment project, 12,970 existing old
houses are being replaced by 19,206 new houses.
