Greater Noida development body may take up land rates in next board meet

NOIDA: As Covid cases continue to ebb, the authorities in Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway are gearing up to hold their board meetings.

The Greater Noida Authority will be the first of the three authorities in the region to hold a meeting on June 24 while Noida will organise it the next day.

The Yamuna Expressway Authority’s board is scheduled to take place on June 28. As it will the first meeting of the authorities this year, the chief executive officers will table the budget for the 2021-22 fiscal year.

“This is going to be the first board meeting of the financial year. So, getting the budget approved will the first priority. a,” said Arun Vir Singh, the YEIDA CEO.

Noida Authority CEO Ritu Maheshwari said, “We are going to organise the board meeting on June 25. The agenda is being finalised and our officials are working on it.”

GNIDA, officials said, would put up proposals for revising its land rates. According to the officials, a nominal increase in the rates is on the cards. “But if senior officials do not give us permission, the rates will not be hiked,” a source said.

The decision of the authorities on property rates will also have a ripple effect on the entire district as the Noida administration will subsequently take a call on revising the circle rates.
