Gurugram: Building plans filed, town planner told to speed up structural audit of highrises
GURUGRAM: As the building plans of around 20 highrise residential societies have been shared by
developers, additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Hitesh Meena has directed district town planner Manish Yadav to speed up the structural audit of around 38 societies, which is being carried out in two phases. Also, estimates have been prepared by the agencies. Around 15 residential highrise societies are being audited in phase 1 and 23 in phase 2. The ADC directed DTP to immediately share estimates with the concerned builder management so that the audit work can be started and completed as soon as possible. He further directed DTP to complete Paradiso settlement at the earliest where around 125 out of around 288 flat owners have accepted part or complete compensation.
After the previous meeting, the building plans of around 20 societies were submitted to the ADC and DTP
office by the builder management based on which the estimate for audit expenditure of 18 societies have been prepared by the structural audit consultants. This information was shared by DTP in the review meeting chaired by Hitesh Meena and attended by town and country planning officials, consultants of structural audit, consultants evaluating the interior of flats and representatives of Chintels India. In the meeting, the ADC has issued orders to district town planner to share the estimates with developers within a day.
“Once audit estimates are shared with the developer, DTP will direct the developer and concerned RWA to
deposit 50 per cent of the amount with immediate effect. This time the audit of both the phases has been combined into one and this audit will be done at the rate of about Rs 3.50 per square feet. Earlier this amount was more than Rs 4. In the last meeting, ADC had reduced this amount. The builder will have to deposit his share in one go but if the RWA wants, they can deposit their share in two parts,” an official said.
