Supertech settles 32 recovery certificates issued by UP-RERA, wants cases stopped
NOIDA: Real estate major Supertech has informed the administration that it has settled 32 recovery certificates issued by UP-Rera worth Rs 7.6 crore. It also said it had paid the administration Rs 3 crore. In a letter, Supertech said it was making all efforts to settle the remaining complaints amicably with the allottees by offering them alternative units or other facilities. It appealed to the administration to stop the RC proceedings against it. On May 8, Supertech chairperson RK Arora was called to the SDM’s office in Dadri in connection with 52 RCs issued by Rera worth Rs 26 crore. This was in connection with Gold Country, a residential project in Sector 22D of the Yamuna Authority area.
When the project started in 2012, the developer planned to construct 2,000 flats. But some farmers and landowners moved the Allahabad high court and got a stay on the land allotment. Supertech delivered only around 1,000 flats. The buyers of the other flats approached Rera and got RCs issued against the developer. In the two-page letter to the district magistrate on Friday, Supertech said that the delay in delivering the flats was because of reasons beyond “the control of them company”.“In the absence of any amiable solution to the issues, the construction activity was not carried out,” the
letter read.
“…We have been following up in writing with the Yamuna Authority to resolve their issues and allow us to carry out construction peacefully,” it added. Supertech chairperson Arora told TOI that the company was not at fault for the delay in the delivery of flats. “We are again approaching UP-Rera for recalling the RCs. Rera has started hearing our applications. We have also requested the district administration to stop the recovery proceedings of the RCs as we are willing to deliver and make settlements with the rest of allottees amiably.” Vandita Srivastava, ADM (finance), said, “The administration has received a letter from Supertech. We have not taken a decision on stopping the RC proceedings yet. If Rera recalls these RCs and informs us,
we will comply.”
