DTCP recommends FIR against developer for selling plots in unlicensed land
The department of town and country planning (DTCP) has recommended that an first information report (FIR) be registered against Savyasachi Infrastructure Private Limited for selling plots without any permission and licensee from the department in a 3.5-acre land adjacent to an existing project of the company in Farrukhnagar.
According to DTCP, buyers complained the developer had sold plots without any licence, as the construction works at the licenced colony had been incomplete, with no possession being given to them. Amit Madholia, district town planner (enforcement) said that the developer had taken a licence for developing an affordable housing colony, under the Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojana, over a nine-acre land in Farrukhnagar. Later, the developer bought an additional 3.5-acre land adjacent to the licenced project area and allegedly sold plots there illegally.
“We received complaints from 21 buyers, after which a show cause notice was issued to the developer, but we did not get a reply. So, an FIR has been registered against the developer now,” Madholia said. A representative of the developer, however, said that they had applied for a licence for the adjacent area, but it has been delayed, and is likely to be done soon.
