Haryana CM chairs meeting to discuss bottlenecks of Gurugram’s Global City
CHANDIGARH: Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday chaired a second round of conference for understanding the investment bottlenecks of Gurgaon’s Global City project in order to attract more companies.
Top developers such as DLF, Bestech, Godrej, Myhomes, Max Realty, and Bharti Realty were at the meeting.
Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) is building this central business district in Gurgaon as an ecosystem of companies that are into future technology, low-carbon green infrastructure, easy living and skill building.
Job generation is another objective. The state wants the innovation industry to come to Gurgaon.
HSIIDC chairman V Umashankar and managing director Vikas Gupta gave a presentation on the mixed-land-use project coming up in sectors 36B, 37A and 37B along with an eight-lane Dwarka Expressway in a residential and commercial hub of about 1,003 acres. The idea is to build a “city within a city”.
The real-estate developers at the meeting called for flexible planning, landmark projects such as International Financial Services Centre and universities, information about phasing strategies, innovative payment mechanism, and a single-window system of clearances.
