Agency gets one more month for final draft for New Noida
NOIDA: The private consultant entrusted with the responsibility of preparing the master plan of New Noida or the Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad Investment Region (DNGIR) has been given one more month to complete the final draft.
During a meeting on Thursday, the consultant was asked to study some of the best investment regions in the world and frame the master plan accordingly.
Ritu Maheshwari, the Noida Authority CEO, has asked the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) to make some amendments in the master plan and submit the draft by April 30.
Officials said efforts would be made to develop ‘New Noida’ as one of the best investment and infrastructure-based cities. The Authority asked the consultant to study cities like Venice, Honk Kong, London, Seoul, Paris, Tokyo, Abu Dhabi and Dubai before coming up with the plan.
‘New Noida’ will be spread over an area of 20,000 hectares, combining 60 villages of Bulandshahr and 20 from GB Nagar. It will be in the vicinity of the integrated industrial township in Greater Noida, multimodal transport hub in Bodaki and the logistical hub in Dadri.
The region will be developed under the land pooling policy. The owners of the plots will get Rs 5,000 per acre per month as compensation for five years or till the time they get a developed plot.Under the scheme, 25% of the land given for the pooling will be allotted to the owner, while 80% of the developed land will be for industrial use.
